Expertise and experience in TV and marketing

Stuart Snaith is a well known and trusted figure in TV circles. As a former Director of BBC Video, Managing Director of 2entertain and Director of Comedy at BBC Worldwide, he has built up a strong stable of contacts among broadcast executives, production companies and talent, particularly in comedy. He also has extensive experience of talent management and brand publishing across all media formats, including TV, film, live events, magazines, books, DVD, apps and digital.

Stuart launched 2entertain Video Ltd (HEW Publisher of the Year 2006) as Managing Director and became a champion of the best of British entertainment around the world, making 2entertain the publisher of choice for key talent, leading indies and broadcasters. His experience and connections have left him well placed to spot sponsorship and marketing opportunities in television and to broker those opportunities with producers and third parties.

He made his name as publisher of the acclaimed Top Gear magazine (Consumer Specialist Magazine of the Year), having joined Redwood Publishing as a Director in 1988. He started his career in the sales division of Haymarket Publishing and went on to become Haymarket's youngest publisher at 26, when he was appointed to take charge of their market leading medical division. At Redwood he handled a number of high-profile customer magazines, including American Express, Inter City and Unisys (winner of Contract Magazine of the Year Award).

In 1994 Stuart took Top Gear under the wing of BBC Worldwide, where his responsibilities included further TV tie-in magazines, including Match of the Day, Tomorrow's World and Holidays, and later book publishing, exhibitions and live events, sponsorship, global video/DVD content acquisition and sales and the move towards digital publishing of content.

Stuart has been responsible for a succession of marketing innovations, of which ad lib, launched at Edinburgh in August 2013, is the latest.
